Advanced Black Feminist Creativity
Bettina Judd, Ph.D.
This course explores how Black Feminist thinkers have used creativity and improvisation to produce feminist thought. In this course, we will focus on the works of Black Women visual artists, musicians, poets, and film makers in conversation with Black Feminist cultural theorists. Students are required to prioritize creative production as a primary mode of knowledge production in this course and should have some foundational knowledge of Black Feminisms.
