Judith A. Howard is Professor of Sociology and Divisional Dean of Social Sciences at the College of Arts & Sciences, UW. Dr. Howard has been an adjunct faculty member in Women Studies since 1982 and served as Chair of Women Studies (now GWSS) from 2001 to 2005. Her Ph.D. is from the University of Wisconsin, 1982. She was recognized with the Distinguished Graduate Mentor Award in 2001 and was the editor of SIGNS: Journal of Women in Culture and Society from 1995-2000.
Dr. Howard comes full circle as she is appointed a full professor in the Department of Gender, Women and Sexuality Studies, 2017.
