In resounding recognition of its promise, GWSS graduate student Yingyi Wang has been awarded three grants for pre-dissertation research in China on “Precarious NGO work and Neoliberal Governance in China." She received a grant from the China and Inner Asia Council (CIAC) of the Association for Asian Studies, with the support of the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation (CCKF) Short-term Research Travel; a Field Research Grant from the UW China Studies Program; and a 2018-19 research grant from the Harry Bridges Center for Labor Studies.
