Associate Professor Cricket Keating and graduate student Christina Yuen Zi Chung attended a conference titled "Toward Decolonial Feminisms” at Penn State University. The conference was inspired by the work of María Lugones, a philosopher, activist, and popular educator who has theorized widely about “the coloniality of gender”. More information on the conference itself can be found here: sites.psu.edu/lugonesconference/

Keating and Chung presented on a panel “María Lugones’ Work in Interdiscipinary Perspective”. The papers presented were the outworking of the “Decolonial Feminisms” course taught by Professor Keating last year.
