Amanda Lock Swarr

Associate Professor of Feminist Studies, Amanda Lock Swarr joined GWSS faculty in 2005. Her research includes queer and trans studies, sexual violence, medical inequalities, and feminist politics. Professor Swarr is the author of Sex in Transition: Remaking Gender and Race in South Africa and she is the co-editor of Critical Feminist Transnational Praxis (with Richa Nagar).
