Welcome to the Department of Gender, Women & Sexuality Studies
GWSS analyzes and changes society from the unique perspective of gender relations. We offer graduate and undergraduate programs in feminist studies that are interdisciplinary and relate gender and sexuality to other forms of social difference such as race, class, nationality, and ability. In our scholarship and classrooms we create new knowledge based on interpretive, historical, and empirical studies, theoretical production, community collaboration and activism.
