50 years ago, Chicana feminist newsletter, Hijas de Cuauhtémoc, was born. In its time, it was a groundbreaking publication and articulation of Chicana feminism and its impact continues to resonate today. In celebration of its 50th anniversary, a variety of scholars, including GWSS alum, Dr. Martha Gonzalez, and two of its founding members, Anna Nieto Gomez and Corinne Sanchez, are coming together to celebrate this important part of history.
