The Department of Gender, Women & Sexuality Studies is excited to announce that nominations are now open for our annual awards. These awards recognize outstanding contributions to scholarship, teaching, and activism.
We encourage all GWSS community members, including faculty, staff, and students to submit a nomination. The award categories include:
- GWSS Service Award (open to all members of the GWSS community)
- Herring Phelps Scholarly Activism Award (undergraduate)
- Herring Phelps Outstanding GWSS Senior Award (undergraduate)
- Pamela E. Yee Gender and Disability Studies Award (undergraduate & graduate)
- Marie Doman Excellence in Teaching Award (graduate)
Please take a moment to think about your colleagues, peers, or students who have made a positive impact in Gender, Women & Sexuality Studies, and consider nominating them for an award. The deadline for nominations is April 30, 2023.
Winners for GWSS Service Award, Herring Phelps Scholarly Activism Award, Herring Phelps Outstanding GWSS Senior Award, and Pamela E. Yee Gender and Disability Studies Award will be announced at GWSS's Graduation Ceremony on Thursday, June 8. The winner for the Marie Doman Excellence in Teaching Award will be announced at GWSS's annual Fall Reception.
