Please join the Department of Gender, Women & Sexuality Studies in congratulating Dr. fabian romero on the successful defense of their dissertation titled "Insurgent Kinship: Queer Purhepecha Migrations and Kinship." Dr. romero's entire committee, including Dr. Chandan Reddy, Dr. Dian Million, Dr. Jean Dennison, Dr. Sasha Welland, and Dr. Gabriella Spears-Rico from the University of Minnesota, look forward to the many projects that will emerge from Dr. romero's extensive investigations into the alternative kinship practices of queer Purapecha life-worlds.
