Associate Professor Kemi Adeyemi is stepping into the role of curator for the 37th annual Northwest New Works (NWNW) festival at On the Boards. Alongside Roya Amirsoleymani and Fox Whitney, Kemi will be selecting and supporting eight exciting new projects for the 2025 festival.
NWNW is a platform for groundbreaking performances across multiple disciplines, and this year's festival is focused on creating a more equitable space for regional artists, with a commitment to offering stronger financial and developmental support. Kemi’s deep knowledge of contemporary Black art and performance will shape the innovative works featured in this June 12-14 event at OtB’s Studio Theater and Merrill Wright Mainstage Theater.
