GWSS is thrilled to congratulate Dr. KT on successfully defending their dissertation, "Errybody Gotta Eat’: Black Queer Food Geographies and the Politics of Refusal," and earning their PhD in Gender, Women & Sexuality Studies.
KT's defense drew an extraordinary crowd of faculty, students, friends, family, and community supporters, filling the GWSS conference room and spilling into the hallway. Their presentation was thoughtful, engaging, and a powerful reflection of the innovative scholarship they have brought to the department.
This fall, KT will continue their teaching and research as a Visiting Assistant Professor in African American Studies at the University of Puget Sound.
