Following Italian Renaissance tradition, each year a selection of some of UW's finest students are selected to lead degree candidates during the commencement procession. These students carry a gonfalon, a banner which depicts the schools name and symbol, and are referred to as gonfalonieres. It is with great pride that we announce that Yingyi Wang will be a gonfalonier for the Graduate School at this year's commencement ceremony. Congratulations, Yingyi!
