Submitted by Whitney Miller on

We are thrilled to share that Christina Yuen Zi Chung, who earned her Ph.D. in Feminist Studies from our department in 2024 and has since been a valued part-time lecturer, has accepted a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor in the Department of the History of Art and Architecture at the University of Oregon.

Christina brings to her new role a deep expertise in Contemporary Art with a focus on Decolonizing Perspectives. During her time with us, she enriched our curriculum through courses such as Global Feminist Art, Gendered Objects, and Introduction to Gender and Popular Culture, offering students a dynamic and critically engaged classroom experience grounded in feminist pedagogies.

In addition to her teaching, Christina will contribute her curatorial insight to new teaching and exhibition initiatives at the University of Oregon in partnership with the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art. We are excited to see how her interdisciplinary and community-focused work will continue to flourish in her new academic home in the Pacific Northwest.

Please join us in congratulating Christina on this well-deserved achievement!
